Mesh Mapper helps you map home Wi-Fi coverage by placing measurements on a floor plan, visualizing heat maps, and estimating better mesh node placement.

Privacy Policy

Mesh Mapper does not require an account and does not send your floor plans, survey points, notes, Wi-Fi network names, or mesh node identifiers to the developer.

Survey data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, that local data is removed by iOS unless you have separately backed up your device.

The app requests location permission because iOS requires location access before apps can read the current Wi-Fi network name and BSSID. Mesh Mapper uses that Wi-Fi information only to label measurements with the network and mesh node serving the device. It does not store GPS coordinates.

The app requests camera access only when you choose to scan a room with LiDAR/RoomPlan. Room scans are processed on device and are not uploaded by Mesh Mapper.

When you run a network measurement, Mesh Mapper makes ordinary network connections to your router and public test endpoints to estimate latency and throughput. Those services may receive standard connection metadata such as your IP address, but Mesh Mapper does not attach your floor plan, survey, notes, or Wi-Fi node labels to those requests.
